SILK ROAD GALLERY

Silk Road Gallery, the first photography gallery in post-1979-revolution Iran, was established in 2001 and initially exhibited photographs of prominent Iranian photographers and later on presented young talented and emerging artists to introduce this contemporary medium in Iran and abroad. Since the beginning, our aim has been to create a base for the fundamental and specialized aspects of photography as an outstanding part of contemporary Iranian art and culture. The Gallery has recently branched out into displaying caricatures, press photography, and comic strips, in addition to its photography exhibitions.
