Assar Art Gallery

Assar Art Gallery first opened its doors in October 1999 under the direction of Omid Tehrani and later relocated in 2004 to its current location in one of the city’s richest cultural districts. With a large collection of modern and contemporary Iranian art and eleven well-known visual artists it represents, Assar Art Gallery plays a significant role in Tehran’s artistic landscape. Today, as one of Tehran’s leading galleries, Assar regularly highlights works by showcasing some of Iran’s notable artists. The gallery is also dedicated to training and supporting experts in the fields of quality conservation, archiving and publication. With a particular focus on Iranian modern and contemporary art and years of experience in the art market, Assar is specialized in advising private, institutional and international clients. Assar Art Gallery’s mission is to engage artists and audiences through an ambitious program of quality exhibitions, collections, collaborations and publications, both domestically and internationally.
